YWCA Women's Equality Day Celebration

YWCA will hold a Women's Equality Day Celebration on Wednesday, August 26 from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Allen County Public Library Plaza.

The event commemorates the Women's Suffrage movement and the government's recognition of women’s right to vote, empowering women collectively by encouraging them to vote in upcoming elections, providing education about women and the political process, giving opportunities to learn about local, state, and national resources for women and registering women to vote on-site.

A special performance by Good Night Gracie will take place along with speakers, a resource fair, raffle and goody bags. A children's area where parents can let their children play while they visit booths will be available as well.

For more information contact Aja Michael or Mary Jo Raffety at the YWCA for more information. Aja can be reached at (260) 424-4908, ext.
