It’s no secret that nonprofit organizations often operate with limited resources, limited budgets, and limited staff. This can make it tough to do more with less, but that’s exactly what so many of our local nonprofits do on a daily basis.
Tapping existing resources and finding needed help saps time and energy from staff often leading to burn out and frustration. You started off wanting to work for a nonprofit to make a difference in people’s lives and in the community, but how do you find the time and resources to do it? How can you get help with projects and other work with a limited budget?
Your solution may be easier than you think! Hire an intern!
Interns can complete backburner projects that you have pushed aside to meet immediate needs. They can accomplish tasks such as website design, marketing material creation, press releases, grant writing, and much more that could cost your organization thousands of dollars to contract out.
Learn about how you can find interns for free through indianaintern.net, how to set up an internship program with the help of Graduate Retention Staff, legalities of hiring interns, and strategies to help you utilize this cost effect resource to take your organization to the next level.
Join the Nonprofit Summit on Wednesday, July 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce to learn about this and many other topics that have a direct impact on your organizations bottom line!
Sign up by June 15 to get early-bird rates of $49 for any nonprofit members of a Northeast Indiana Chamber of Commerce or a member of NINA. The nonmember early registration rate is $99 for the day. Registration increases to $69 for members and $129 for nonmembers after June 15. The registration fee also includes breakfast, lunch, and all materials.
Register online at The Chamber's web site.
