Mary Popovich joins Northeast ISBDC staff full time

Mary Popovich, part-time marketing coordinator for the Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center (NEISBDC) since October 2007, has accepted a full-time position with the NEISBDC. New responsibilities include providing business advising to NEISBDC clients and handling special projects for the Division of Continuing Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), in addition to marketing the center. The Northeast Indiana SBDC is hosted by IPFW and located at the IPFW Hobson Center, 4312 Hobson Road in Fort Wayne.

In addition to working at the NEISBDC in a part-time capacity the past few years, Popovich has operated a home-based, public relations business, PR+ Communications. Prior to joining the NEISBDC, she was in charge of communications for the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce for 10 years, serving as vice president of communications. She also worked in marketing for Lancia Homes for seven years.

Popovich is a 1989 graduate of IPFW with a bachelor’s degree in English. She currently is working on a Master of Liberal Studies degree at the university. Congratulations Mary!
