Xerox Provides Solution to Information Protection Issue

Chamber member Jeff Harrington of Xerox asked us to share this information with you. Recently, a CBS news story, “Digital Photocopiers Loaded with Secrets” has been circulating. Some are worried about the dangers of sensitive information being left behind on printers and multifunction devices. Xerox has recognized this problem for over 10 years and has built effective security controls into their devices to address the issue. Most companies have a policy to deal with data protection when they dispose of an old PC but not from print devices that have hard drives.

Xerox is hosting a seminar this Thursday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will be providing you with the information that you need to protect your company's information. Guest speakers will include Randal Cusick, Manager, Technical Marketing, Xerox, and Jeff Helms, President, Association Information Technology Professionals (Indiana).
