Help the TinCaps Achieve a Record-Breaking Season!

The TinCaps have only 10 games left in the 2010 schedule, and they are gearing up not only with hopes of another Championship season, but also for a record-breaking season in terms of attendance. The Fort Wayne TinCaps season attendance is currently on pace to shatter the previous mark of 378,529 set in Parkview Field’s inaugural season. “It just goes to show that Fort Wayne has some of the best fans in the country,” stated TinCaps Team President, Mike Nutter. “Attendance is up almost 10% from last year with some great games still to be played.”

If the TinCaps continue to average 5,728 fans per game during the teams remaining 10 home contests the team will end the season with over 400,000 in regular season attendance for the first time in the franchise’s history. “While the 400,000 mark is just a number, it is a significant milestone,” said Nutter. “It puts us on par with some of the great cities in the country in terms of support of their home town teams. It would be a feather in the cap for the community to show such strong support. We have some great entertainment planned for these last 10 games – we always like to end with a bang!”

Tickets for the Fort Wayne TinCaps potential first home playoff game (Wednesday, September 8th at 7:05pm), which will include a post-game fireworks show, go on sale this Saturday, August 21st at 10:00am (EST). Tickets can be purchased by phone at (260) 482-6400, at the Parkview Field Ticket Office, or by logging on to TinCaps.com.
