Sandi Kemmish Elected to Ivy Tech Board of Trustees

We'd like to recognize Sandi Kemmish, director of Chamber member Lincoln Financial Foundation. She has been appointed to the Regional Board of Trustees for Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast (also a Chamber member). 

Sandi is the director of Lincoln Financial Foundation and manages the corporate philanthropy in eight major locations, its matching gift program, and national disaster relief. She is a Lincoln Financial Foundation board member. In addition to her responsibilities with Lincoln Foundation, she oversees the United Way corporate workplace campaign and enterprise-wide flu shot program for Lincoln Financial. She serves on the company’s Diversity Council as well.

Prior to joining Lincoln Financial in 2002, she taught English and French in Tennessee, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She has a master’s degree from Virginia Tech and served as a Doctoral Fellow at East Tennessee State University before moving to Fort Wayne in 1991.

Sandi has an impressive community leadership resume. In her 19 years in Fort Wayne she has been involved with organizations including the Museum of Art, Junior League, YWCA, Arts United, Super Shot, Canterbury School, Science Central, and more.

We're grateful to Sandi for her involvement at the Chamber. Not only was she the 2008 winner of our ATHENA Award®, she was also chair of the award committee for the 2010 ATHENA event.
