Three Rivers Fest Announces Honorary Parade Grand Marshals

Today's blog is going to be event-focused. Earlier today it was announced that the Three Rivers Festival opening PNC Parade will include the TinCaps and the Komets as honorary grand marshals. The parade will take place Saturday, July 10th, in downtown Fort Wayne. Both of these teams, as we all know, won their league championships in 2009.

Aside from the Three Rivers Festival being an established event of Chamber member Fort Wayne Newspapers, there are many Chamber members involved in its success, such as sponsor Sweetwater Sound, the TinCaps, and
National Serv-All.  The Three Rivers Festival was founded in 1969, and is the state's second-largest summer festival. It's an annual 9-day celebration of Northeast Indiana, with events including a televised parade, fine arts show, crafters' market, children's and senior's mini-fests, live entertainment, food and beverage concessions, a home and lifestyle marketplace, and a fireworks finale.
