24/7 Coffee and Comfort

by Lauren Richwine, Communications Specialist

You can do anything in heels as long as they’re comfortable and Friday "anything" translated into taking a tour of the yet unfinished Courtyard Fort Wayne Downtown at Grand Wayne Convention Center
. I, along with other Chamber staff, walked our way from the Chamber building to the blocked off work zone surrounding the hotel building. We were greeted by Andy Crowel, General Manager of the Courtyard Marriott, and it was hand shakes and hard hats all around.

This is going to be one cool hotel! Here are a few reasons why we are going to love the downtown Courtyard Marriott.

*Can you imagine watching a Tincaps game and fireworks from your hotel room?
*Starbucks open and available 24/7 to hotel guests AND THE PUBLIC
*Hanging out at the Champions Sports Bar and Grill for lunch or after evening events
*Meeting Rooms will be available for business use

Crowel emphasized throughout the tour how business focused this addition to Fort Wayne really is, even beyond the guests who will be staying and enjoying all of Courtyard Marriott’s amenities. Local CEOs can hold a morning meeting in the board room while employees grab a cup of Starbucks or a bite to eat on the way. In addition, the location is central to the Allen County Public Library, The Grand Wayne Convention Center, Parkview Field, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and Jefferson Pointe Mall.

September 20 has been set as the official opening date and the Courtyard Marriott is already booking stays and events. For more information on the hotel that is sure to add vibrancy and color to downtown Fort Wayne, visit courtyard.com/fwadt
