Free Health Screening on World Kidney Day

Take advantage of free health screening on World Kidney Day, Thursday, March 12. The free health screening is brought to you by the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana, Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne Urban League and HealthVision of Fort Wayne.

What: A free health screening for people at risk for kidney disease, area residents with diabetes, high blood pressure or a family history of kidney disease. A physician or medical provider will be on site to review results with participants.

When: Thursday, March 12 - 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: Fort Wayne Urban League (2135 S. Hanna Street)

Why: 26 million Americans have early kidney disease and many are unaware - even more are at risk for the disease. Early detection can prevent or delay the onset and early treatment can stop the progression of kidney disease to kidney failure.
