Light Lease settlement will aid in recruitment

Chamber President/CEO Mike Landram had a letter to the editor published in Tuesday's Journal Gazette. In the letter, he lauds the city of Fort Wayne and Indiana Michigan Power for their agreement to resolve the City Light lease.

Here's an excerpt:

The fact that the agreement recognizes I&M as the city’s exclusive electric service provider is clearly substantial. I&M’s rates are undoubtedly competitive both within the state and nationally. When competition for more jobs and new investment is particularly arduous, an incentive like lower electric rates is yet another local advantage.
