- The event sold out on September 8, 2010 with 7,500 participants registered in Half Marathon and 4 Mile Run/Walk events (3rd consecutive sell‐out in 3 years of Fort4Fitness events)
- Interesting Participant Demographics:
- 34 states represented
- 4 countries represented (U.S.A., Canada, Great Britain, China)
- 63% female / 37% male
- Participants range in age from 6 – 87
- Average age is 38
- 2,289 registrants tell us Fort4Fitness 2010 is their first Road Race EVER!
- 4,458 registrants tell us this is their first Fort4Fitness race!
- 621 Kids registered (more than doubling the 2009 numbers) & participating in summer‐long incremental Kids’ Marathon, finishing with the final 1.2 mile leg on Friday night
- 68 Seniors registered & participating in summer‐long incremental Seniors Marathon (new event in 2010), finishing with the final 1.2 mile leg on Friday night
- Half Marathon is certified by the USATF/RRTC and is a member race of the new Indiana Distance Running Series
- Voices of Unity Youth Choir singing National Anthem prior to Saturday’s race
- Health Festival (Healthy Fair & Healthy Food Expo) at Parkview Field Friday & Saturday
- More than 50 vendors throughout the concourse at Parkview Field
- 3 bands playing inside and outside the stadium for entertainment
- Training group presentations and exercise demonstrations in the Parkview Field Amphitheater beyond Centerfield
- Merchandise Mall – vendors selling running gea, apparel and more

- “Dinner at the Diamond” – 5pm – 9pm, healthy food options available, including a $6 pasta plate for runners wanting to carbo‐load for the race
- Healthy tips for meals – Allen County Board of Health and local culinary arts programs showing economic and healthy meals you can make at home
- More than 700 Volunteers working to make Fort4Fitness possible!
- Water station contest – New in 2010!
- Groups staffing water stations will be competing to see who’s the best!
- Fort4Fitness will donate a check to the winning organization’s charity of choice
- Judging will take place just prior to the race on Saturday morning
