Airport Authority Receives More Funding

Good news for the Airport - as the Airport Authority continues to work on the new Master Plan, it has received an additional $209,740 in Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program grant funds to complete the financial planning, report documentation, and development of the airport layout plans.

One important component of this phase of funding will be updating the FWACAA Airfield Pavement Management Program to a new MicroPaver software platform. This component will target the development of a pavement management approach that includes training of FWA staff for future inspections, database updating, and annual revisions to the pavement management system. This will help reduce overall costs in terms of pavement management.
