If you had 30 seconds to communicate to someone what you do, what would you say? We administer housing benefits that financially support home buyers with 3% down payment funds for their home purchase. The funds are taxable compensation so they do not require repayment or a lien share on the property. There are no income qualifications or prior home ownership limitations, so we are able to assist the general workforce with access to these benefits regardless of their income and even if it is their third home.

What is one thing that sets you apart from all others?
Most housing benefit administrators specialize in transferring or newly hired executives. We specialize in the general workforce with 'turnkey' outsourced administration service. It only takes one home buyer using their benefits in an organization for the leadership to see the value of making the housing benefit information available to their membership or workforce.

Who are you looking to connect with through your Chamber membership? Employment entities that take interest in their employees' or members' needs. The election of housing benefits always remains the decision of the employee or member, letting them know it is available is the key.

What is your #1 goal for 2010?
We are always striving to improve the efficient and effective method we administer benefits by strengthening our network of providers. The more knowledgeable real estate agents, lenders and title companies that we partner with are, the more flexible the choices become for the home buyers. Education on the proper execution of housing benefits always results in our #1 goal: expanding our exemplary service for the home buyer and support to the employment entities we represent.

If you had 30 seconds to communicate to someone what you do, what would you say? We’re a human resources consulting company that specializes in small to medium businesses that are transitioning by downsizing, increasing staff, etc. We ensure that all their policies, procedures, and regulations are in order before the fact. Being prepared saves on stress and prevents potential litigation.

What is one thing that sets you apart from all others? All our associates have credentials from SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management), which gives the customer the assurance that we’re up to date on all the regulations. We also have expertise in multiple states and are affiliated with the National Association of Personnel Services.

Who are you looking to connect with through your Chamber membership? Mainly small to medium sized companies that either have no human resource department, or a department that could benefit from support.

What is your #1 goal for 2010? One of our goals is to continue developing our human resources consulting practice and also the training and development package for our workforce and development clients. We strive to teach them how to be more of a placement service rather than a social service.

MARKETING STRATEGIES, INC.
Contact: Dana Haenner, President
Web site/Phone Number: www.makeyourmarketingpay.com, (260) 437-8284
A Chamber member since: March 8, 2010

If you had 30 seconds to communicate to someone what you do, what would you say? Marketing Strategies is able to help educate business owners about how to take existing marketing dollars that are not being effective through traditional advertising and show them how to spend those same dollars in a way that takes advantage of new technology that has measureable results.

What is one thing that sets you apart from all others? The biggest thing that sets us apart is that in many marketing situations, media sales reps will call on businesses without understanding the real needs of the client. We really investigate what the customer is presently doing and where they can improve for a specific outcome instead of just spending more money or running advertising more frequently. We believe if you spend $1,000 a month, you should be able to tell how many leads you got from spending that money.

Who are you looking to connect with through your Chamber membership? I’m looking to connect with business owners that understand that the internet and the new media available through the internet are powerful, but who don’t understand how to take advantage of the opportunities present there.

What is your #1 goal for 2010? My number one goal is to begin to build and develop relationships in Fort Wayne with other like-minded business owners to help them achieve their goals. If my clients don’t win, I don’t win, so it’s about making sure I can help others.
