Local Funeral Business Expands Services Through Web site

Chamber member D.O. McComb and Sons has unveiled a new service available at their Web site, www.mccombandsons.com. McComb and Sons is a fourth-generation, family-owned funeral home. They are providing a new service called "Concierge Sympathy Cards" which allows you to choose a unique card and personalize it with your own sentiments. Then, the card will be hand-delivered to the grieving family during calling hours.

E
very organization must adapt to meet the needs of its clients. This is an example of a service-oriented organization evolving with the times, using technology to provide a more enhanced service for people who are going through a difficult time. McComb and Sons' Web site allows users to send meals or gift baskets, among other things, to grieving friends and family, and also has a special Spanish section for non-English speaking individuals.

Dave McComb, co-owner of McComb and Sons, says
"This personal touch will mean a great deal to those dealing with the loss of a loved one and provides a convenient service to those wishing to send their thoughts and sympathy. Our goal is to continue to find ways to better serve our families and honor their loved one.”
