First Ever RiverFest Set for this Weekend

Don't miss out on what is sure to be a great community event this Saturday, June 26. The IPFW RiverFest is presented by Steel Dynamics in partnership with Fort Wayne Friends of the Rivers. The entire community is invited to the IPFW campus for RiverFest 2010—a day of festivity and celebration for one of Fort Wayne’s most prominent natural resources, our rivers.

Families can enjoy nature, history, sports, water activities, and art, while music enthusiasts can enjoy performances throughout the day and rock bands in the evening until
midnight. The day will be jam-packed with activities for people of all ages. Click on the image here to see a schedule of events.

There are also volunteer opportunities available for those interested beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday all the way through midnight. Three-hour shifts are available, and there will be many fun activities for volunteers to enjoy. If you are interested in volunteering at IPFW's RiverFest 2010, call (
260) 422-1505, ext. 16 or contact fwintern@lugar.senate.gov. For more information on RiverFest, click here!
