First Federal Savings Bank Makes a Deposit for the Community

I want to take a moment to brag on a member who is making an extra effort on behalf of the community. First Federal Savings Bank is proving their commitment to hometown banking. I've just learned of a great giving program they have instituted.

Back in October they began a $50/$50 promotion. New checking account customers were able to designate $50 toward one of fifteen charities, and in return First Federal would deposit $50 into the customer's account. When the promotion ended on March 31, First Federal had donated $2,700 into the Fort Wayne community, with various amounts distributed to the different charities based on customer's designations.

The American Cancer Society, along with Aboite New Trails and the Salvation Army, received one of the higher sums of $450. Fort Wayne branch manager Jason Burke presented the check to representatives from the American Cancer Society on Wednesday, April 28.
