Did you see this great article in today's Journal Gazette? It's a story on a special event happening here at the Chamber building tomorrow - the Fort Wayne Business Women's Expo. To clear up any possible confusion - this event isn't sponsored by the Chamber, but it is directly connected to the Chamber, and let me tell you why.
This expo is the brainchild of Chamber Leads Group members - they saw a need in the business community for this type of forum, and together, decided to meet that need. Last fall they held a similar event, a very successful Hospitality Expo. Let me take a moment to brag on our members - this is just the type of networking and innovation that the Chamber is here to help facilitate and promote.
We definitely won't take credit - it's their idea, their hard work, and their success! But we are happy to say that the masterminds of this event met thanks to their involvement in the Chamber - here's to those connections and many more connections in future!
The Business Women's Expo will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Chamber building. This is a free event designed to shine the spotlight on Fort Wayne business women. The day will include 15 roundtable education sessions presented by local experts on topics including Promoting Your Business, How to Finance Your Business, Guide to Starting a Successful Business, and Conflict Resolution. For a list of exhibitors, information on speakers, and to register for roundtable sessions, visit BusinessExpoFW.com or call Tom Reynolds at (269) 207-9129 for more information.
