New Free Web Service Links Hoosier Businesses

A new web-based community that will link Indiana firms with suppliers within the state has been launched! Before I go into detail, let me first answer the question on everyone's mind - yes, it's free! The site is called Indiana Supplier INsight, and it is brought to you by Conexus Indiana, and sponsored by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). The idea is to streamline supply chains and make it easier for Hoosiers to do business with other Hoosiers.

The end result should be new business opportunities for Indiana companies like yourself, thanks to streamlined operations, reduced transportation costs and more. Now manufacturers who generally look all over the country for a supplier can look closer to home and find it easy to engage a well-qualified, local candidate.

Supplier INsight is a service for Hoosier firms of any industry that stores information on registered businesses, which can then be accessed by other businesses during a search on the site. If you are interested in taking part, contact Lisa Laughner, Program Director at Conexus Indiana, at llaughner@conexusindiana.com, or sign up online. Almost 4,000 companies have already registered during the initiative's test phase. You can read more about the Supplier INsight here
