Four Members Achieve "Green City Business" Status

Four Chamber members just completed the City of Fort Wayne's "Green City Business" certification:

• Central Branch YMCA
• Jorgensen Family YMCA
• Fort Wayne Wire Die, Inc.
• Weigand Construction. 

These members are four out of 16 businesses in Fort Wayne to complete the Green City program in its first year. This is a nationally recognized program that helps businesses and organizations adopt enviro-friendly practices, as well as save on energy costs. The program also has a mentoring component, which enables Green City Businesses to act as a resource and example to other businesses in the community.
