The workshop will take place this coming Thursday, November 19 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the City's human resources office (3rd floor of the City-County Building). If you're interested, here's what you will learn about:
- What trademarks, copyrights and patents are and what level of protection each offers
- How to secure a trademark, copyright and patent, and the process and cost associated with each
- What to consider when engaging an intellectual property attorney
- International intellectual property considerations
The information will be presented by Abigail Butler, an attorney with Baker & Daniels (a Chamber member, by the way). Abigail specializes in intellectual property law.
This workshop is brought to you by the City of Fort Wayne, the Chamber, Women's Enterprise (a program of the Fort Wayne Women's Bureau), Small Business Administration, SCORE, Community Development Corp. and the Indiana Small Business Development Center.
One more thing... Did I mention this workshop is free?
