Internships: A Thought for Students

Employers in the region are promoting internships to help students prepare for real-world job experience. A recent article in the Chamber's Emphasis quoted Carmen Ballard, Coordinator of Volunteer Programs at Lutheran Hospital. She said, "Some students don't realize that their mentors could possibly be their co-workers in two to four years." That's a strong "heads up" thought for students concerning the power of connections through internships.
