STAR 88.3 Celebrates New Ownership

Melissa Montana, CEO and President of STAR Educational Media Network celebrated the new ownership of Chamber member STAR 88.3 at a press conference today.

Over the past several months, Melissa Montana and the Executive Team, Richard Cummins and Don Buettner, decided to form a nonprofit company and put a bid on the station. They were given the opportunity to buy the station by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod – Indiana District. After months of legal paperwork, the process is complete and STAR Educational Media Network is now the owner of STAR 88.3.

Recently STAR 88.3 was voted 2009 Station of the Year by the Gospel Music Association and Christian Music Broadcasters. Melissa Montana received the award on the Dove Awards National televised show. Also, STAR 88.3 was recently voted #1 Favorite Radio Station through the Fort Wayne Newspapers Reader’s Pick.
