Paychex SALES Consultant - Job Description:

Prospect small and medium-sized businesses to sell payroll, direct deposit, tax filing and related services. Call on accountants to develop referral relationships. Visit existing Paychex clients to sell additional services including referral sales of 401k, Section 125 Insurance Plans, human resource services, and more.

New Payroll Sales Representatives complete a 5 week professional sales training program which includes technical and sales skills training. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a base salary, commissions, bonuses, expense allowance, 401k Plan, Stock Purchase Plan, tuition reimbursement and much more. First year earning potential is $50k - $80k (base, bonus and commissions).

Primary Responsibilities

Generating revenue by developing market potential through lead generation, networking, recommending products/services, and closing sales. This includes cultivating and developing our CPA and Bank referral channels.

Collaborating with management to achieve monthly sales targets with close attention to increasing market share and key account growth.

Working in an assigned territory to identify new business opportunities, meet with decision-makers to analyze their needs, and identify areas for Paychex to provide value added service improvements.

Developing sales strategies, techniques, and tactics based on customer feedback and the market environment.

Job Requirements

BA/BS degree or equivalent outside sales experience.

2+ years of outside sales experience.
