Mayor Tom Henry Gives State of The City Address

Today Chamber President & CEO Kris Foate introduced Mayor Tom Henry at the mayor's annual State of the City address. Mayor Tom Henry in his speech said officials will closely monitor the impact state budget legislation will have on the city's revenue stream this year. He added analysis will continue on how it will impact Fort Wayne's budget and what City services may have to be reduced or eliminated. He also referred to the pending federal stimulus package as a mechanism to put local people back to work and infuse some capital into Fort Wayne's economy.

This was the first State of the City speech to take place at the Northeast Indiana Public Safety Academy and was co-sponsored by the Chamber and Alliance.
