The Foellinger Foundation is hosting its third annual Carl D. Rolfsen Stewardship Award luncheon on Tuesday, October 28 at 11:30 a.m. at the Grand Wayne Center. The Rolfsen Award will be given to one of thirty-six nominees who have been nominated for their volunteerism as a board member of a non-profit organization. The candidates are nominated by their peers, and must demonstrate at least three of the “Ten Basic Responsibilities of Nonprofit Boards,” identified by BoardSource.The Rolfsen Award has earned national recognition and honors for its emphasis on community leadership and high standards, and is one of the only of its kind in the nation.The recipient of this year’s Rolfsen Award will receive a Foellinger Foundation grant of $10,000 for operating support and up to $7,500 for special board development training.
