Umbrella Series Goes Global

Earlier this year LaBov & Beyond held the Umbrella Series at the Chamber. These parables, performed and acted out by Taylor University students, were geared at helping businesses energize and engage their workforce. Now the Umbrella Series is going global, and its first international stop will be South Korea.

Seoul-based Kyujang Publishing Company approached LaBov & Beyond in late 2007 with a serious interest in translating the Umbrella Series into the Korean language and then publishing it for the domestic market there. An agreement was quickly reached, and the books were printed and put into distribution in early March by Happinion, an imprint of Kyujang Publishing Company. Printing and distribution is expected to continue through the end of 2008.

LaBov & Beyond president and CEO Barry LaBov authored the Umbrella Series books, along with the subsequent Umbrella Collection of business stories, as a way to bring to full color the common internal issues and challenges many of his agency's clients face on a daily basis.
