Economic Club of Indiana to Visit Fort Wayne for Special Luncheon

We hope you will mark your calendars for a great business event coming to Fort Wayne in June. On Thursday, June 3 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Grand Wayne Center, the Economic Club of Indiana will present a luncheon as part of their special summer series. Guest speaker will be John Engler, President of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and former three-time governor of Michigan.

As President of NAM, Engler is working on opening foreign markets to U.S. goods, improving U.S. infrastructure and developing domestic energy. Engler has served in high-profile advisory roles regarding the U.S. Trade policy for the Bush administration and helped win adoption of the Central America Free Trade Agreemtn (CAFTA) back in 2005.

He is also an avid promoter for the improvement of U.S. roads, rails, shipping and air transportation, and also advocates for domestic natural gas and oil exploration, renewable energy, clean coal and nuclear power to meed the demands of economic growth.
