Get Your Hands Dirty with the Great Gateway Green-Up

The Downtown Improvement District needs your help! In conjunction with the Great American Cleanup event that will take place May 15, the DID is inviting you to come downtown for The Great Gateway Green-UpThe DID and Business On Broadway are partnering with several local businesses and organizations to cleanup several key gateways around downtown. Volunteers will help remove weeds, litter, debris, and other materials that have collected on sidewalks and beneath viaducts over the winter.

This opportunity will take place from 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, May 15th, both downtown and on Broadway Street. The work downtown will include areas around Baker Street from Calhoun to Fairfield, and the work on Broadway will center around the intersection of Broadway and Taylor.

Please bring your own tools (shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.), but look forward to the DID providing you with gloves, trash bags, and a free t-shirt! As an additional bonus, Higher Grounds Midtowne will be providing free coffee to volunteers (first come, first serve)!
